The JDPC attended the seminar organized under the auspices of Budgit on the 2018-2020 Budget. The JDPC was invited to the program by Prof. Udo Udoma and the program was tagged: “A CITIZEN’S GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING THE FNG 2017 – BUDGET OF RECOVERY AND GROWTH’. The program was held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).

From the 2017 budget; the estimated capital expenditure was favorable to some sectors as against the other sectors. Capital expenditure for Health which was N55.61bn; Agriculture – N103.79bn and National Assembly – N125bn; but for Education, the budget for both Primary and Secondary (Universal Basic Education and UBEC) was N151.92bn, which was observed to be too low.
